Panasonic ZS20 , and I must say, it is beautiful and great pocket camera. The menu fairly easy to navigate. Panasonic ZS20 is one of their newest and already it had great reviews! I did more research and tested it in stores and fell in love with it. I can finally take macro shot photos, take artistic looking shots with the retro or toy settings. The panoramic does a fairly good job but I need to practice more with panning fast enough or something. I'm just excited that I finally can take panoramic shots again as most of the cameras out there require you to align the photos and do some kind of stitching thing.
As for picking up light while in a dark room it does well. I tried the handheld night shot where it takes a couple frames and somehow makes it look better as one picture and that was pretty neat. I also took photos of the full moon the other night and it did a pretty good job. I could even see some awesome details.
In any case Panasonic Lumix zs20, the newer model is nice, the 20x zoom works really well, and I found the image quality to be excellent for a small compact size camera. For serious photographers, the image quality will not compare to my mom's $2000 Canon SLR, which I borrow from time to time, but I would not expect it to. It is small, easy to put in a pocket, and has a really long zoom for such a small size. The image stabilization works well to help get clear pictures at full telephoto, and the scene modes do work pretty well as I have used the sunset and night photo ones a few times with some pretty impressive results.
